This weekly Seminar begins each Saturday at one p.m. with a buffet lunch at the Los Angeles home of Donald and Patricia Freed. The first hour includes deep structure technical literary exercises; critical analysis and illustrative readings from great world literature, stretching from the first universal myths to the modern giants.
After a break at two-thirty for refreshments, participants read excerpts from their works in progress, which represent the entire range of literary genres. Mr. Freed alone responds to these readings; no other group criticism is permitted. The Seminar concludes at four-fifteen.
This group work is reinforced by private, individual tutorial meetings, as needed, with Mr. Freed.
International Membership: A number of International Authors conduct individual Tutorials with Donald Freed by telephone on a weekly basis. These Participants are also invited to take part in intensive, yearly gatherings for a ten day Writers/Actors Seminar in a European setting.
Membership Qualifications: For the two Seminars offered interested Writers and/or Actors are invited to visit the Friday and/or Saturday meetings as guests.
